Ahhh, amateur MMA. God bless it. On January 23rd, for apparently the first time in the Lower Mainland, MMA went down in a cage. I kind of giggled when promoters made a big deal about the hexagon but it actually was kinda cool in the end. The amateurs were game and aggressive. Wendy Roy blew me away with her grit and pure toughness as she came roaring back from an early first round pounding to earn a draw.
